Holistic Psychotherapy


Holistic psychotherapy is an integrative approach to mental health that focuses on the person, as a whole. The therapist sees symptoms in the context of the relationship among mind, body, and spirit. The work in therapy surrounds helping the client become aware of the connections among emotions, experiences within the body, and spiritual understandings. These elements work together in harmony and underpin our daily interactions with the world around us. 


Practicing from a holistic perspective, therapists at Holistic Harbor Psychotherapy and Wellness provide trauma-informed care while also incorporating Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to give clients the skills they need to cope with varying situations. Mindfulness, breathwork, and guided imagery are also used to help clients manage stress. We also offer modalities such as Hypnotherapy, EMDR, and ERP to address client’s differing needs.

 

At times, we all need help in finding the inner strengths we all possess. Our purpose is to help you do just that. In therapy, we will meet you where you are and help you navigate your path back to balance. Our practice is very client centered and relationship focused. We sit with people who are experiencing everyday life struggles such as relationship difficulties, grief and loss, and people who are seeking support in exploring and making important lifestyle changes. We also work with those who might be experiencing struggles with anxiety, depression, or other mood dysregulation.
