What is EMDR?

EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing) is an evidence-based therapy used to treat a wide range of behavioral and emotional issues such as trauma, anxiety, depression and other negative beliefs. Through the use of bilateral stimulation (eye movements), the brain is able to access its "problem solving center". Doing so allows the neural pathways in the brain to more effectively and efficiently process past, present, or future incidents. If you're curious about if EMDR is right for you, please reach out to one of our EMDR trained therapists.
